Sound the Trumpets!
Let us all celebrate the fact that the Feast of Trumpet is almost upon us!
This week, to celebrate this glorious feast of the Lord, we will go in depth into a verse that seems to be slightly off the subject, but is very important to the concept of the feast. The verse is found in the book of Psalm:
Blow the ram’s horn at new moon, and again at full moon to call a festival!
- Psalm 81:3
The passage in question is meant to show us the usage of the trumpet, or ram's horn: to announce what is upon us. There’s a plethora of biblical examples that also present that same fact, the most famous being the fall of the walls of Jericho was announced by the sound of trumpets. They call upon a moment, one that should be signaled or signified.
In the case of the Feast of Trumpets, there are many different mysteries that surround it. Yet, what we know is that the children and elect of the Lord are meant to know the sound of Trumpet. They alert us to danger, call us to gather for celebrations, festivals and the like, all while preparing us for the end times, when the Lord will call for the trumpet to sound and the Son of Man will return.

Think About It: Do I know the sound of the trumpet? Am I ready to hear the sound of the trumpet, when the time comes? How do I prepare myself for that day?
Prayer: This week, pray so that your spiritual ears be open to hear the Lord speak and His trumpet sound. Pray for spiritual awareness and understanding - discernment for when the time comes. Put your life in His hands and prepare for the Feast of Trumpets.
