Condemnation

The Bible is the most printed and distributed book in the world; this has been a constant since the creation of the Gutenberg Printing Press. Thanks to that, more people than ever have access to the Word of God. It has also led to many misinterpretations of biblical verses and biblical truth. As believers and truth-seekers, it is important for us to really narrow these down and get to the root of what Yahweh wants to tell us in these verses.

The verse this week is that of Romans 8:1, which states

There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

- Romans 8:1

The World and teachers would have you believe that it is a bible verse that says that we are no longer under the law and that it has been abolished. That isn’t true and has been examined in Bible 101. However, what is true is that we are no longer under the law, but in accordance to it if you follow it out of love for Christ.

What this Bible tries to show us is that condemnation isn’t for those who are in Christ. Those who are in Christ are in the truth and in the ways of the Lord as He prescribed them. Those who follow this way of life that Yahweh prescribed are no longer walking in the flesh, but in the Spirit, knowing that the grace of God has given them an access to Him, through His son Yeshua.

We apply this in our everyday lives in the way that we conduct ourselves, as people who are righteous and who look out for one another in love and peace.

Associated Bible Verses: John 3:18 -19, John 5:24, John 15:4

Think About It: Am I convicted by this? Am I living in condemnation, or am I walking in freedom? Do I belong to the body of Christ or do I not? Do I walk after the flesh or after the Spirit?

Prayer: This week, pray to Yahweh and take the time to praise Him for giving you the grace and opportunity to read His word and His message. Allow Him to convict you; show you that if you are within Christ, that you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit. Find the time to be in tune with His son Yeshua.
