Faithful

We consistently hear about how the Lord, Yahweh is faithful. It’s one of the things that people focus on when they go and speak the gospel and proselytize. It’s the truth of the situation. However, the Lord made us as naturally inquisitive creatures, able to reason; wanting to understand more.

Therefore, why is God faithful to us?

Let’s examine this verse from 2 Thessalonians 3:3 understand what this entails and how we get to this.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you and keep you from evil.

- 2 Thesssalonians 3:3

Ok, let’s attempt to break down: we understand that the Lord is faithful. From there, he will establish us, put us on firm ground and be our foundation. Finally, we are kept from evil, due to the fact that we are established and far from evil.

But again, how? Why?

The Bible is filled with verses that talk to us about our God being faithful, but just as much with us being faithful to God. The accompanying verses for this week's edition will present to you verses in which being faithful is a two way street. We are to be faithful as God is faithful. And to be faithful, we must be willing to follow his commandments and ways: that’s being faithful to Him. In turn, He loves us and keeps us safe. The reality of 2 Thessalonians 3:3 is what we get when we spend our lives being faithful to God at all times.

Associated Bible Verses: 1 Samuel 12:24, Luke 16:10, Hebrews 10:23, Proverbs 28:10, Psalm 121:7,

Think About It: Are you faithful in your walk with the Lord? Do you count more on God being faithful, or on your own abilities? Do you trust in the Lord to be there for you?

Prayer: This week, take the time to pray so that you can always be faithful in the Lord.
