Anxiety

It happens to even the best of us. That feeling looms; the one where it feels like you don’t know where your life is going or your suffering seems to be too much to bear. The anxiety of it all can seemingly consume you, or anyone you know.

It’s a feeling of doubt that happens, but it isn’t supposed to. The verse that will be the cornerstone of our readings for this week will explain why.

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.

- Revelations 21:4

This verse from Revelations is so powerful. It talks about what will happen; this eternity that we are all striving for. It’s within the grasp of everybody who wants to follow YHWH: for He doesn’t want you to be sad. That’s not the life that He planned for you. Do not worry, for He will wipe those tears.

Life with Christ is a life in which you understand what the Father has in store for you. And even when you don’t know, you can always count on Him. In those times where everything seems too tough, we have two things to do: praying and pushing. Pray to the Lord and give Him thanks, for you should have faith that He will deliver you soon. Push through the obstacle that you are going through, not by your own strength, but by His. Keep following His commandments, and He will continue to fortify you.

Your current reality is your eternity. It’s a season - admittedly, it could be a tough one - but nothing is stronger than the Lamb who gave His life to save yours.

Associated Bible Verses: Isaiah 25:8, 1 John 2:17, Romans 8:18

Think About It: How often do you feel as if you are overwhelmed and anxious? Do you turn to the Lord or do you turn to the World when that happens? Do you confide in the Lord and look for support? If not, are you a support for the people around you who go through this?

Prayer: Pray to the Father so that He may remove the anxiety from your life. Feel His presence in your life as he wipes away every tear from your eyes.
