God, Daily

To begin this weekly installment of Devos, I thought that I would introduce you to a sensory grounding technique. It’s called the 54321 method. You are supposed to be able to say 5 things you see, 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can hear, 2 things you can smell and 1 thing you can taste. I would like to invite you to do that exercise with me now.

If you’ve done the exercise, I’d like you to realize that all of those things are able to happen because Yahweh allowed them to happen.

Yahweh is present in not just the big things in life like destroying the walls of cities and separating oceans. He is present in the smaller, seemingly delicate things in life.

This week, we get the chance to read Psalms 68:19 as our passage to guide us. It says:

Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our Salvation. Selah.

- Psalms 68:19

The little things in life that God does for us, like give us the breath of life, often go ignored. We are numb to those little blessings, even though we shouldn’t be. Life is a precious thing that cannot be had again, therefore we should take the time to thank the Lord of Heaven and Earth for all of what He gives us.

He is a God that loves those that follow His commandments: let us thank Him for what He has given us.

Associated Bible verse: Isaiah 46:4, Lamentations 3:23, Psalms 103:1 -  22

Think About It: Do I thank God daily for the things that He gives me daily? What are the little things in life that I don’t thank Yahweh enough for? How can I show that I am truly grateful for what I have, not just with the Lord, but in general?

Prayer: Thank the Lord for the “smaller” blessings that He has put into your life this week. Present how grateful you are for even the things that seemingly get on your nerves. Show him gratitude.

THANK YOU FOR READING DEVOS! MAY OUR LORD YESHUA BLESS YOU! FEEL FREE TO LIKE THE ARTICLE, SHARE IT ON SOCIAL NETWORKS AND SEND IT TO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY SO THEY CAN ALSO RECEIVE THIS BLESSING.
