The Glory of the Lord
There is nothing in this world that can compare to the Glory of GOD. The Psalms say that it is better to spend a day in His courts - in His presence - than a thousand anywhere else. It is in those moments that the Lord speaks to you and presents himself to you.
This week, the verses that are being presented to us are those of Isaiah 40:4 - 5, which reads:
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight and the rough places plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the Lord has spoken it.

This verse is understandably big, encompassing many secrets and truths that need to be uncovered. What we will be focusing on is the bigger picture. That picture is that of the Glory of God; it affects everything that is happening. It’s explicit in saying that the valleys, mountains and all that encompasses nature will change and rejoice in the glory of the Lord. We are to do the same.
We, as believers, are meant to continuously seek Yahweh and for those moments of intimacy with Him. We are to change our behavior and nature so that we may be in His holy presence. It’s why Moses was asked to remove His shoes when approaching the burning bush: he was entering a holy place to speak to an even holier God.
In the presence of His glory, we are to bow down and be humble; listen to what He wants to say to us and enjoy these moments with Him.

Think about it: Do I make enough time to enter God’s presence everyday? Do I feel the glory of God in my life? Do I truly fulfill what He asks of me everyday?
Prayer: This week, pray so that you may have those moments of intimacy with the Lord. Pray so that you may feel His presence and glory in your life. Present yourself to Him, willing to listen and do what He asks of you.
