Weakness

This is for you: the people who feel as if the weight of the world is on your shoulders. Responsibilities abound and it seems as if there is never enough time or that you just aren’t good enough to accomplish it all. I’ve been there and I understand the way that you feel. I empathize with you.

Today, I present to you the verse of this week, which can be found in the book of Isaiah. It is written:

He giveth power to the faint, and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.

- Isaiah 40:29

The strength of the Father far exceeds anything that any human can fathom. Even if we all came together on this planet to move something, we would not even be a singular iota of the strength of the Father. He exceeds us all and that is perfectly okay.

To receive His strength and rest, you have to begin by accepting that He is the Father and the strength that you need. Acknowledge your own weakness. It’s not bad. Humble yourself completely and accept that His way of life is what you need. We all need Him, for He is our creator and the one who provides for us all. There is no one who can avoid the thought of the Father, and that is because He gives us strength.

Associated Bible verses: Philipians 4:13, Matthew 11:28 - 30, Psalm 28:7 - 8

Think About It: What times in your life do you depend more on your own strength, whether that be physical or mental? Have you reached your breaking point before? What did you do in that situation; who did you turn to?

Prayer: This week, I pray that the Father, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, presents Himself to you again. May He give you His strength and power so that all of the glory will go back to Him, for He deserves it all.
